Fuel Transport is expanding rapidly and looking for a Talent Acquisition Specialist for our office located in Lasalle, Quebec.  The person selected will be responsible to help attract and acquire top talent to grow the LaSalle Head Office and support the expansion of our business operations throughout Canada. The role will be responsible for executing traditional and non-traditional sourcing strategies to build a diverse candidate talent pool and work with human resources, marketing and other business units.  The successful candidate will report to the Director of Talent Acquisition and will have the mandate of distinguishing the company as an employer of choice.

  • Identify, attract and source qualified talent using different niche sites/channels such as LinkedIn and other social media.
  • Prepare job descriptions, manage postings on Fuel’s career website as well as other relevant posting websites.
  • Manage all aspects of the recruitment process including pre-screening, face to face interviews and reference checks in an effort to identify relevant talent.
  • Update the Applicant Tracking System (ATS), coordinate background verifications aligned with company processes and manage all follow up communications.   
  • Prepare and process hiring documentation in collaboration with the Human Resources department.
  • Maintain and promote company policies and procedures pertaining to the recruitment process established.
  • Participate in career fairs local job fairs and professional events to support the Fuel Brand and growth plan.
  • Implement brand confidence and retention practices amongst newly recruited talent.
  • Foster and maintain professional relationships with existing employees.
Skills & Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field with a minimum of 5 years’ practical full cycle recruitment and hiring process.
  • Knowledge of hiring criteria related to logistics in the Transportation industry. (an asset)
  • Bilingual French and English (written and spoken) is an asset.
  • Experience utilizing applicant tracking systems (ATS) and Microsoft office suite; Word / Excel / Outlook.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced work environment with a sense of urgency while remaining positive and focused
